Barry M Aquarium review.

Hey girls,

Another nail post this week. Sorry about all of these nails posts, but I have a cold sore, so cant really show you good pictures of lipsticks and new lip products I have recently got. Which is a bummer to me, as I am a complete lip maniac.

Back on to this post. Barry M have been on form recently with their new nail products. I recently have bought a load of new nail stuff from Barry M. I can't seem to stop buying new colours and types of finish. So keep a look out for posts on them.

Aquarium, is a collect full of duochrome nail paints, there is also 2 glitter top coats. I recently seen them in my local Superdrug and seen they had a deal on them. Buy 2 polishes for £6, which I snapped up, otherwise they are normally £3.99 each.

I got Mermaid which is a blue, green and gold chunky glitter in a clear base, this will make a gorgeous top coat for dark coloured nail varnish and I can not wait to test it out. I also got Pacific, which is a green, blue oil slick colour, it is gorgeous. Its more like a teal in the bottle, but in different lights it is different colours. It kept me amused for a while at work. Its a beautiful polish. Although the swatch is not doing it justice. So I will take a picture next time it is on my nails.

These last a long time and managed to go unscathed whilst I was on the tills at work. I love these and might indulge my lust for them and buy the rest of them.

Rimmel: Lasting Finish Colour Rush Lip Pencil

Hey Guys,

This is finally a lip post. I have been missing doing posts about lip products, dang cold sore.

But I have came up with a way  to swatch them well enough, for a post.

Back to the post.

I was only really interested in these as the Rita Ora ones have just came out. Which I do plan on getting some of her nail polishes, when I get paid. But being a lip addict, I had to get one of the lip pencils. I got the bright shade called Boom Chick A Boom. I absolutely love this colour, I go for every lipstick in this sort of bright pink shade. I also got The Redder the Better shade, which is a lovely classic red.

These lip balms are very moisturising and nourishing on the lips, which I love. They are light and go on smoothly, with an even pigmentation. I now just need to buy the collection fully of the colours I love.

I got these from Superdrug as they were on a buy one, get half off. So I obviously got 2. These cost £5.99 each and I got them for £8.99 for 2 so not too bad. Definitely worth it.

GlossyBox March 2014 Box Review

Hey guys,

Before we get started I'm so sorry about how negative this post may become.

I received my box yesterday and couldn't even try to write a post on it. But now I have had a rethink about what I got, its still not amazing. But there is at least 2 things I will enjoy.

Mitchell and Peach Body Cream (£36 for 180ml)
We got a small sample of this (40ml), it smells like something my Gran would put on herself. Its not a scent I like. It has shea butter, cocoa butter and honey in the ingredients, along with lavender and rose. So this smells odd to me.

Sleek MakeUP Pout Polish (£4.49 for 10ml)
I got this in the colour of Monte Carlo, which is a beautiful pink colour. The balm its self gives off a subtle pink on the lips.

Bellapierre Cosmetics Shimmer Powder ( £12 for 2.35g)
I got this in the colour of Coral Reef, which swatches a beautiful peach golden colour. It is a multi use product, as you can use on your eyes and cheeks. I wasn't too excited about this product, as its too shimmery to be used as a blush and it won't suit my colouring as a highlight and I have not worn peach on my eyes since my school days.

Vita Liberata pHenomenal 2-3 week tan lotion. ( £37.50 for 150 ml)
This came in 2 small foil packets, so I am not sure how testing this is going to work. Do I just tan one small area of my body? This you can get free at a counter in store.
s
Dove Hair Treatment Intensive Repair 60 Second Treatment Shot. ( £1.49 for 15ml)
This is a deep condition treatment for the hair, which I am excited to try as I love these sort of things.

This box was nothing special, yeah it has 2 products I am happy to test out, the hair treatment and lip conditioner. I am really disappointed in this box. I may even unsubscribe.

Urban Decay Revolution Lipstick Review

Hey there Guys,

I have just gotten around to doing this review, although I have had this lipstick since maybe late Jan. But I do have a lot of lipsticks, that are all fairly new and needed tried and tested. Until the other day when I pulled it out and wore it.

I have got Cat Fight shade in the new-ish Urban Decay Lipsticks. Its fuchsia, with a slight cool undertone although on me its looks bright fuchsia, as I am so pale. It's a colour, that I absolutely love to wear and wear this sort of colour daily, when not in work. These cost £15 from Urban Decay, Debenhams and House of Fraser.

Pro's
This lipstick is creamy smooth and so highly pigmented. It finishes in a sheen, but not like the MAC creme sheen, so much more pigmented.

Con's
The only downfall for this lipstick is that it feathers on me. I know I could wear a lipliner, but I prefer not to have too. So in theory it is my own fault.

I love this lipstick and I do plan on getting more of the collection.

Have you's got any of the shades? What do you think of them?

Marion.

I will post a lip swatch later, as I have a cold sore atm.

Eyebrow Products I love

Hey My lovelies, This is just a small quick post, taking about some of my favourite products I have been loving for my eyebrows. I do tend to switch it up between these products depending on what look I am going for. As I'm pale and ginger, my eyebrows without any product, can look hideous, as I don't have much pigment in my brow hairs.

I mainly use either a pencil or a powder to fill in my brows.

Powders
In the past I have used matte eyeshadows and other powders, but these are the ones I find best for me. On the high end of the price scale is the Illamasqua eye brow cake, I have it in the colour Peek, which is a warm caramel colour, so the website says. It cost £15.50 and is well worth the money, as I got it last summer and I still haven't scraped the surface much.

Another eye brow powder that I love, is the Accessorize shape and brow kit. Within this little hot pink and gold package, is 3 brow powders, a gel and some tweezers and a brush. All of that for £6, such a bargain. In the kit, I use the lightest shade and sometimes the middle shade, at the end of my brows for extra definition. I got mine at Superdrug, but you can find online here.

Pencil

Eyebrow pencils are a nightmare for getting the correct colour, as I prefer a bit more of a red tone in my brows, to match my hair. In this case, I have 3 different pencils, in 3 totally different shades. My first one is the Maybelline Master Brow, that I got at Superdrug for £2.99, I think this may be the first eyebrow product I ever bought. It has a waxy formula and is a dark blonde shade, more ash toned than red. It is a nice pencil, just wish it came in more colour selections. #

The next product is the PS love eyebrow pencil, from Primark. It cost £1 and I have the shade light, it comes in 3 different shades. The light shade is red toned and is fairly waxy in formula, it has been likened to the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow wiz, which I haven't tried yet, but I shall hopefully soon try them.

Lastly I have the Beauty UK eye brow pencil, in the shade Auburn, this is the only shade on the high street that is catered for the redheads. It costs just £1.99, it is a bit dark for me though. But I suppose being pale and redhead is a tough job. buy it from here

What is your favourite things to use in your brows?

George At Asda Nail Paint.

Hey Guys,

I have had a recent addiction to buying nail polish. This is just a little post on my new recent favourites from a recent trip to Asdas.

I went in Asda's just meaning to browse the clothes and beauty bits they have. I was quickly drawn to the George at Asda beauty line. I'm a sucker for trying new things and I have never tried anything from this brand. So I picked up a lipstick (Blog to follow) and 3 of the nail polishes.

I got the inky gray nail varnish, which is in the cheaper range of nail polish. This cost me just £1.75. They have nearly every colour in every shade of the rainbow. I am in love with this colour. It last really well, without a top and base coat. I am too lazy and like to get my nails done quickly, so rarely use top and base coats. This one dries very quickly and lasts a long time, I always chip my nails fairly quick. But once this bad boy sets, its on for a long time. I will definitely be picking up a few more of the colours.

The next one I got to try, was the 3D glitter range, which was around £2.50. I got the gold shade in this line, after 2 coats, my nails are super sparkly and opaque. This for me didn't last very long and it seemed to be like the kids peel off nail polish. I'm hoping if I top and base coat this baby, it will hopefully last a lot longer. ( Pic to follow)

The final one I got, was their version of the gel polishes. I got this as I have heard a lot about gel polishes recently. So I decided when I seen it I had to pick it up and try it.I got a gorgeous maroon shade. I done 2 thin layer of this and it looked great. It doesn't dry very quickly though. But I do like the glossy finish that it gives off. I have already got one of my fellow bloggers to pick me up another bottle.

I have to admit, although sceptical at first about these polishes, they are a great buy for the budget beauty buyer. I love them.

Until next time, my lovelies

TK Maxx Beauty Bits. Blog Haul #3

Hey girls

Just a quick post on the few wee bits I bought in TK Maxx and tell you about the bargains they have in the small beauty bit they have. To me money off of anything is a bargain. But I managed to get a few things that really have wowed me.

I got 2 Butter London nail polishes. I got a gorgeous Rose Gold colour called Champers. It is a very stunning colour, it has very fine glitter particals through the polish. This normally goes for around £14 and I got this for £4.99.... Bargain. I also bought my friend a red one which is just a classic red, which everyone needs in their collection, this is called Saucy Jack, which again was £4.99

I also picked up a pack of 2 Orly nail polish, I had never tried this brand, but has heard a lot about them, from Zoe, from Mamafulzo on Youtube.I got a navy blue, called In the Navy, its a beaut. I also got Cut the Cake, which is a silver sparkle polish, I think you would need a few coats of this to show up, but I can not wait to try. These cost me, just £4. Which is an absolute bargain.

I also picked up a Good Things Stay Clear purifying Cleanser, this I have been eyeing up in Boots and Superdrug, but had just not been able to justify paying £5, when I have a Soap and Glory one in use at the mo, but when I seen it for £2.99 in TK Maxx, I knew it was meant to be, corny I know. But oh well.

All in all I spent £16.97 and the normal retail price would have been around £50. I saved myself a ton of money and got my friend a wee gift.

Where do you girls go bargain hunting and have you found any worth sharing?

Nail Paint by Barry M

Hey girls,

Sorry, I've not been able to blog a lot recently, but I have just started a new job. But I may do a updated life post.

On with this post.

Recently I have been buying an awful lot of nail polish and lipsticks but this post is dedicated to some of my newer Barry M nail paints.

I have bought some of the new pastel shades of the Gelly Hi shine nail paints. I had seen the advert for these in my local Tescos and knew I just had to have some of them. Luckily for me, they had a offer on them. I bought 2 nail paints for £6. I got the gorgeous pastel mint green colour, called sugar apple. I also picked up the pastel blue shade named Huckleberry. I love these a lot so may have to get the other pastel colours they have.

These are the perfect spring colours, which I will be wearing all spring long.

A while ago I bought some glitters from Barry M, just before Christmas. I left them at a friends house and recently got them back. I think these were in a glitter polish collection called Jewel glitters ( Don't quote me though). I'm sure I got these on offer as well at Superdrug, I'm all about my offers. I got amethyst jewel, which is a multi colour glitter that looks gorgeous on and looks brilliant as a accent nail, as does the other one Ruby glitter, which is a black and chunky magenta glitter polish that looks amazing on top of polish.

Have you tried any of these and what were your thoughts? Let me know in the comments.

Love Me Beauty Box

Hey guys,

Today I got a little surprise, as I forgot I ordered the Love Me Beauty Box. But this box is packed to the brim of gorgeous treats. I got the Valentines Day edition, so it was February's box, which is completely fine for me. I'm sure they have quite recently rebranded the box and I can't remember what it was before ( I'm sure I got one). But they still have the same concept. When you subscribe, you get an email telling you when the box showroom is available and you pick which products you want. They have put together 3 slightly different boxes and you get to pick which one you would like to be sent, there is also a mystery box, if you would prefer the unknown. There is also an opt out if you don't want to try the boxes available and you can wait till the next month. This is more my kind of box, as I like to know if I will get value for money, as you see the products and you will know if you want to try them or not. The box costs £10 and £2.95 P&P so £12.95 all together. Subscribe to Love me beauty

Lets get on with what I got in this edition of the box. At the end I will review it as whole.

Percy & Reed No Fuss Flawless Dry Conditioner (Full size 150ml for £12)
I'm not sure if this is going to be like dry shampoo, but I am excited to try this. The card that comes with the box says its to give shine and softness to hair, even the most driest of hair.

La Claree Smooth Day Care (£28 for 50ml)
This is a sample of 7ml of face cream, that has collagen boosting stuff in it, to prevent the signs of aging.

Bakewell Soap Company Multi Purpose Pocket Balm (full size £3.95 for 25ml)
This is a balm that will moisturise nails, lips hands and any other dry patches you have on your body. I got the 'May Chang' one that will help repair and tone dry and damage skin.

Inner Me Beauty Me Vitamen Complex ( £15)
These are supplements for skin, hair and nails. I'm looking forward to testing these out.

This month we got a mystery gift as it is Valentines Day box. This is a product that has been hailed a hero product by Love Me Beauty Subscribers.
I got a Headline colours nail polish in the shade Sandstorm, which is a lovely neutral shade. These cost £9 for 10ml. I have previously gotten some of these in Glossybox and Birchbox.

This box cost a mere £12.95 and it is worth £39.95 not including the sample size of the day care cream. This excites me a lot as it worth the money and I don't feel I have been short changed. The conditioner and supplements are the main reason I got this particular box, but I love the box with everything else included. I will be keeping my subscription going and I can not wait to get this months box.

If you want any specific reviews on any of the products let me know in the comments and I will be sure to do that for you :)

Bye
