Foodie Review: Pizza Express West End Edinburgh

Hey G&D,

Just a little post about another food Place. I feel like I've ate out a lot this week, even though it has only been twice properly.
Back to this review though.
I met up with my other half for some late Valentines dinner.

We decided to have dinner on Saturday night, we went to the Pizza Express in Edinburgh's West End. We went around 7pm and quick enough got a table for 2.

We got asked our drink order quickly, I got a coke and it came within minutes of ordering. I ordered Bruschetta then a 4 cheese pizza.
The Bruschetta I got was incredible. It was a huge chunk of garlic dough, covered with a tomato, red onion and garlic mix, that was then drizzled with pesto and a basil leaf to decorate.

I then got my 4 cheese pizza. This was a massive chore to eat. I do love cheese, but wow. I was defo cheesed out after eating this.

I also got polenta chips to share with my other half. These were served with a honey mustard dressing on the side to dip. These were amazing, but still get beaten with another little Italian in Edinburgh.

My Coffee came with a little heart design on the top. I got a Baileys Latte. This was yummy. Double expresso and baileys flavoured milk.

I somehow didn't manage to take a picture of my dessert which was a Chocolate fudge cake. Which wasn't very nice, much too rich after everything I had eaten. But here is a picture of Joe's Chocolate ice cream and fudge cake sundae.

The service wasn't the best in the restaurant, it was slow service and not very friendly. I wouldn't go back to that particular restaurant but there is a few different ones in Edinburgh luckily.

Hope you like these sort of posts. I'm sure there will be more of these sort of ones to come.
bye

  1. My mother makes this for anything where she has to bring a dish. Sometimes she even prints the recipe out on little index cards because people always ask for it. Family Restaurant

  2. Shame it wasn't what you expected it to be. Sounds like the service was pretty poor :-(

    1. Yeah the service was horrible, had to wait around 20 minutes just to pay. I'm hoping the other ones in Edinburgh have better service.

    1. The Polenta sticks were nice, them and the starter were the best part about it :)
