This is just a little review of a cake shop that has recently opened at Fort Kinnaird.
The shop in question is Patisserie Valerie. I think this one has only been open a short while and there is another one in Edinburgh at a more central location on North Bridge.
This one was very lovely and clean. The staff were also very friendly and child friendly, which is always a plus point. I do normally have lunches and cake stops with my 5 year old nephew. Today was no different for my cake and friend date, Johnathan was with us.
We sat down and looked through the menu, they had everything you'd need for a 3 course meal, to a very nice cream tea and cakes. We settled for a cream tea (which came with 2 scones and condiments and a pot of earl grey tea), Johnathan had some lemon iced tea and a chocolate mouse cake, Jade had some peach iced tea and a double chocolate gateau, the best part was that it only cost £19, which is not too bad.
It is definitely worth going too, you like something sweet. Everyone enjoyed it, including the little one.
