I know it has been a while.. I was thinking about changing it up.. Mixing it a bit. But my love of make up has prevailed again and I am back fully in love with some barely written about items. So I will for sure be updating this all again soon..
But for this post I will be speaking about the new Benefit They're real tinted mascara primer. This little innovative product is just amazing.. Let me just put that out there straight away. At first I had seen it in a magazine whilst flicking through a celebrity filled magazine. So I tried to get more information on it, but there wasn't that much. So I knew in my own crazy head that I had to get it and write a little review.
First of all, the primer is brown. How many mascara primers have we seen that are brown. None. Not that I can think of from the top of my head. How many of us have had those bright white primers, that turn mascara grey and not so black anymore. I know I have. No matter what mascara you use on top of this little beauty there is no fading of colour, because of the already richly pigmented brown colour. It also makes it an ideal from desk to party primer/mascara. As it has enough pigment to give off a lovely day look, but it also doesn't crisp up, so you can later in the day add on some more mascara.
I have tried it with a few different mascaras that are in my collection and it works a treat with all of them even, the drugstore lower end one. For me personally, I find it works amazingly well with my loreal so couture mascara. It fans out my lashes, gives them volume and defines them, more than usual. Which I have fell in love with recently. I love that it works well with lower end mascaras, to make them as amazing as the they're real mascara. Totally worth the money.
Benefit have it on sale for £18.50 and it is also £18.50 at Boots, where you can get various deals on it and gain those advantage card points. When I bought mine, if I bought two premium make up items, you were getting £5 back in points. Bargain in my eyes and I also got the Benefit they're real remover to try out. Which I will be sure to do a post on.
Have you tried this out this little hidden gem? What are all your thoughts on it? Please excuse the scary eyes in the pictures below the first one has just the primer on one eye, then the other 2 are with the Loreal mascara on top.
